Assistant Federal Public Defenders
Todd M. Schultz

Todd M. Schultz graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Government & International Affairs from the University of Notre Dame in 1996.  A year later, he went to law school to become a criminal defense attorney.  For over seventeen years, he has done only one thing—defend criminal cases.  After graduating from the University of Illinois College of Law in Urbana-Champaign in 2000, he worked for four years as an Assistant Public Defender in St Clair County, Illinois.  In 2005, he joined the law offices of O’Gara, Gomric & Schultz, where he maintained his singular focus on defending criminal cases.  Three years later, in early 2008, he began defending federal criminal cases full-time as an Assistant Federal Public Defender for the Southern District of Illinois and has never looked back.
